Made a few purchases outside of my usual shopping zone. I hardly ever wear makeup. On a night out, I throw on a little concealer and mascara at most. All the contour, eye shadow, lip stick, face powder, hullabaloo just doesn’t make it in my makeup routine, or lack thereof. So this purchase was a shove into something I THINK I want to put more effort into. From left to right, I got the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude simply because, since I’m already no makeup guru, the whole which brush to use on which part of my eye lid (seems like a science to me) just won’t be in my reach right at this moment. Give me a big crayon like eyeshadow pencil and I can contribute some effort into making my eyes a bit sparkly. Next up is the NYX Lip Pencil in 850 Nectar. I tried this out as an all over lip color (I watch Youtube videos) and I’m pretty pleased with how it looks on me. I’ll have to put a coat of lip balm over it though since there’s no moisturizing in lip pencils apparently. Then I got the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I also tried this one out and I think this will have to grow on me. I really do like the packaging though, with their play on the matte effect on the top of the tub. But this kinda like smearing vaseline chalk on my lips. The color was okay at best. Will try again though. Lastly, the NYX Xtreme Shine Lip Cream. I have to say, the name really pulls the wool over your eyes. There was very little shine in this. I did like the color but I was expecting a bit more of a lip glossy type product.
Again, I’ll still be working with all of these. I’m not a beauty blog. Just a regular girl trying to be more girly.
