Pressed Juicery: 1 Day Cleanse.

Hey readers! —
I just wanted to take some time and share my experience of my 1-day cleans I did recently. I was going to do a video but I’m in the process of purchasing a new DSLR. I purchased this cleanse online at Pressed Juicery. I got the 1-day cleanse, along with the cleanse waters. For a one day cleanse, I found it a bit pricey but I was still interested in giving it a shot.
The instructions for the cleanse were pretty vague, suggesting I drink each juice about 2 hours apart. They were also labelled with numbers so I know which juice to drink next. I kept a log throughout the day when I drank each of the juices and these are the entries:
8:00 am | Juice #1
Ingredients: Almonds, dates, cacao, sea salt.
I really thought I would like how this one tasted  but it didn’t really meet my palette’s expectation. So I was a bit disappointed although it wasn’t bad. It was kind of chalky to me and since I didn’t favor it, I figure I wouldn’t care for the rest, so I was sort of not looking to finish but…willpower.
[Stayed at home as a precaution because I didnt know how the cleanse would affect my bowel movements].
10:00am | Juice #2
Ingredients: Kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon.
Definitely didn’t think I was going to care for this one just because of all the greens and I figured if the chocolate almond wasn’t the best, this probably wasn’t going to be, but it most definitely surprised me. The apple and lemon and cucumber flavors dominated so it was a bit sweet which I liked so it was definitely a good transition juice.
[slight headache, not hungry].
12:00pm | Juice #3
Ingredients: Carrot, cucumber, spinach, parsley.
I had to stomach this juice. I did not like it…at all. I thought the carrot would mask the taste of the greens but it didnt . I almost felt like I would throw it up after gulping it down to get rid of it quickly.
2:00pm | Juice #4
Ingredients: Pineapple, apple, lemon, mint.
LOVE these flavors.  Its amazingly refreshing and a definite change of taste. My favorite so far for the day. I would even re-purchase this one.
5:00pm | Juice #5
Ingredients: Kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon, ginger.
This one tastes pretty similar to Juice #2 since it has all the same things with the addition of the ginger, which didnt make a huge difference.
7:00pm | Juice #6
Ingredients: filtered water, almonds, dates, vanilla bean, sea salt
I was looking forward to this one the entire day and it was very similar to the Juice #1. It wasn’t as chalky but still didn’t meet my expectations. My boyfriend enjoyed how this one tasted so I guess it’s a matter of palette preferences.

I can’t say I enjoyed this cleanse, but cleanses aren’t necessarily suppose to be fun, but effective. It didn’t affect my bowel movements as much as I thought it would, it being a cleanse and all. But I did feel refreshed throughout the day. I’m sure I got my daily requirement of vitamins and nutrients compared to days where I eat normally. So that would explain why I didn’t feel light headed or hungry. The juices were filling, and while I did find myself wanting solid food, whenever it came time for my next juice, it filled me just enough to get me further into the day. This may sound odd, but I wouldn’t NOT recommend this cleanse. A few of the juices appealed to my taste. A few of them didn’t whatsoever. So it was a 50/50 kind of rating. So I wouldn’t promote it,  but I’d recommend it if I was asked.
xx.
